Employment Law

Johnathan was a senior prosecutor with the Ministry of Manpower prior to joining private practice. Among other things, he advised the ministry on a wide range of aspects in manpower legislation and policies, and represented the State in prosecuting cases under the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Employment Act and the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act. He was deputy team leader of a specialist prosecution team dealing with complex workplace safety and health offences that involved worker fatalities.
Since joining the private sector, he advised and acted for clients in both civil and criminal employment matters. He had been featured as a former prosecutor on CNA938 to speak on workplace discrimination and anti-discrimination law.

Personal Law

Having a keen interest in legacy planning, Johnathan advised, drafted and acted for clients in securing grants for probate and letters of administration, drafting bespoke lasting powers of attorney and Wills. He does this with an understanding of family businesses and their need for succession and contingency planning.

On Friday, 4 November 2022, Senior Associate Johnathan Lee, gave a legal primer on the Workplace Safety and Health Act to the staff and management of Temasek Polytechnic. As our economy opens up, more are seeking to know their duties and corresponding (civil and criminal) liabilities when it comes to safety.
