Karishma graduated from the University of Leicester with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) where she was awarded the Leicester Award Gold for her overall outstanding performance. She furthered her studies by completing a Master of Laws specialising in Commercial and Corporate Law at Queen Mary, University of London where she achieved a distinction in her dissertation which analysed the interplay of corporate law in the UK, US and Singapore.
During her time as a trainee lawyer, she exposed herself to both contentious and non-contentious work in Singapore. She then ventured out to Hong Kong to gain experience in the capital markets field.
As an associate in the Corporate and Commercial Department, Karishma advises clients on domestic and cross-border M&A and corporate finance transactions, including private equity and venture capital investments as well as joint ventures. She also advises businesses on regulatory, compliance and other general corporate matters.
She was admitted to the roll of Advocates and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Singapore in August 2020.
