Shamini graduated from University of Southampton (UK) with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in August 2019.
As an Associate in the Litigation Department, Shamini has amassed experience in Civil Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Criminal Litigation and Matrimonial Litigation. She regularly handles disputes relating to commercial contracts, construction disputes, land disputes, tortious claims, defamation and matrimonial disputes. Shamini has also participated in Alternative Dispute Resolution such as Mediation and International Arbitration.
Apart from litigation, Shamini’s practice encompasses non-contentious matters such as reviewing and drafting agreements, including shareholding agreements and employment contracts.
During her training with Tito Isaac & Co LLP, Shamini applied to be part-called to the Bar and attended Court for various matters at Pre-trial Conferences, Criminal Mentions and Court Dispute Resolution, before becoming an Associate at Tito Isaac & Co LLP.
Shamini is regularly called upon as a Private Prosecutor, acting on behalf of Town Councils, for offences falling under the Town Councils Act (Chapter 329A).
