Ferris leads the firm’s Corporate and Commercial Practice. She is a seasoned Singapore-qualified lawyer with deep expertise in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. Prior to joining private practice, Ferris served as General Counsel and Company Secretary at a globally recognised multinational corporation, bringing with her over a decade of in-house legal and compliance experience.
 
Ferris regularly advises on complex corporate transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, group restructurings, and joint ventures. She also provides ongoing support to listed and private companies on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial contract matters. Her in-house background gives her unique insight into aligning legal advice with commercial realities, allowing her to deliver practical, business-focused solutions. 
 
Known for her client-centric approach, Ferris works closely with senior management teams and business owners to understand their strategic priorities. She is skilled at building long-term relationships with clients and is often relied upon as a trusted advisor on corporate legal matters.
 
In addition to her corporate work, Ferris has experience in employment law, data protection and compliance, private client advisory (including family trusts and estate planning), and dispute resolution. Her broad-based expertise enables her to offer clients holistic and effective legal support.

• Advised on business sales, joint ventures, and cross-border acquisitions.
• Conducted due diligence for both local and international clients.
• Advised on corporate restructuring, financing transactions, and regulatory compliance.
• Drafted and negotiated a wide range of commercial and shareholder agreements.
• Provided legal support on employee stock option plans, share issuances, capital reduction, share buyback and amendments to company constitutions.
• Acted for clients in employment terminations, retrenchments, and severance negotiations.
• Advised on data breach incident and compliance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act.
• Advised on estate planning and the establishment of family trusts.
• Assisted in civil and commercial disputes, including shareholder disputes, commercial fraud, misrepresentation, conspiracy by unlawful means, breach of fiduciary duties, statutory demand, defamation and tenancy dispute. 
• Assisted in criminal disputes, such as mitigation plea and offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
• Assisted in family disputes, such as divorce and ancillary matters, application for maintenance order and application for personal protection order.
